San Pasqual School Foundation Rallies to Support School
Rancho San Pasqual School Foundation Rallies To Raise Funds For Important School Programs
Rancho San Pasqual, Escondido’s best kept secret, is home to San Pasqual Union School District. This one school, school district is nestled in the San Pasqual Valley and offers students a great education in a small school environment.
This year the school Foundation is hosting 4 fundraising events!
Walk-A-Thon
Autum Fest Carnival
Casino Night
Golf Tournament
Every year, the “little school in the valley” faces challenges unique to a small school district. They have to decide what to do with the limited funds they receive from the state and how to use those funds to best match the needs of the students. Since 2000 the San Pasqual School Foundation has worked together with school staff and the administration to help find solutions for these issues.
The Foundation was developed when the school was in jeopardy of losing their library. Together, with the generous donations from the community, the Foundation was able to donate enough money back to the school to keep the library open.
Looking forward to next year, the school district is very concerned about the budget and projects having to make deeper cuts. In any school this is difficult, but in a small school, this can be devestating. With this in mind, the Foudation has decided to add one more fundraising event this year. In October, the Foundation will host the first school carnival.
October 24th, from 11:00-3:00pm at the school, the Foundation, will have games, music, raffles, dance shows, prizes, and arts & crafts. All money raised will be donated back to the school.
This year the Foundation has a goal of raising $100,000.00. These funds will help keep not only the library, but maintain the Physical Education program that is currently funded by the Foundation and hopefully provide additional financial relief to the budget.
